  • Use this category for fully created previously unpublished written poetry or prose (creative nonfiction, fiction, or hybrid work)
  • Your projects should not appear, in full, on any other platform (YouTube, Spotify, other lit magazines, your published book, your personal website or blog). 
  • You must attach the original file as a doc, docx, or pdf. Do not send a link to a file.
  • Please specify the genre of your submission in the cover letter.


 

Poetry: Send us up to 3 poems, up to 15 pages total.

Prose: Send us fiction, essay, or hybrid work, up to 3,000 words in length. 


 

These submissions are rolling. Our regular issues are released in February and September. 


Deadline is for reading for September issue.

*Please do not submit your voice recording here. We will contact you upon acceptance to guide you through that part of our process. You will be contacted upon acceptance to arrange to record yourself reading your work or to discuss other options.

ART

Please submit up to five files for consideration. This is the space to submit static, unmoving, not animated artwork.

You may also submit artifacts such as handwritten work or prose or poetry that requires art to complete it such as an ekphrastic poem. For an example of this, please see Parley Lit

GRAPHIC LIT

Please submit up to 10 pages of graphic lit. This is static, unmoving, not animated literary work that INCLUDES TEXT. 

Examples can include:

  • a comic strip
  • a picture or series of pictures 
  • a diagram of anything (your right foot, your mamaw’s kitchen)
  • a treasure map
  • art with writing somehow included
  • whatever you come up with
